FAQ
The questions everyone asks.
How do I know how many requests I’ll need?
Most fractional CMOs running 2-3 client engagements land on Growth (60 requests/month) comfortably. Most agencies with 3-5 active client builds also land on Growth. If you’re unsure, start with the Pilot or Builder and we’ll move you up if needed.
What if I run over my request limit?
We’ll tell you when you’re approaching the limit. Overage requests are billed at $50 each, OR you can upgrade to the next tier (we’ll prorate the difference).
Can I roll over unused requests?
Yes. Up to 50% of unused requests roll over for one month. So if you’re on Growth (60/month) and use 40, you can carry 20 into next month.
What if a request takes longer than expected?
That’s our problem, not yours. The request is one request whether it takes us two hours or six. If we underscoped something significant (a ‘small’ CRM job that turns out to be a full migration), we’ll flag it before starting and rescope honestly.
Are revisions limited?
Builder includes one revision round per request, Growth includes two, Scale is unlimited. A ’round’ means a single batch of feedback, not a single change.
Do larger projects get a custom quote?
Yes, optionally. If you have a single large project (full agency-wide CRM rebuild, multi-month launch program), we can quote it as a one-time project on top of your retainer, OR you can have it consume requests from your monthly bucket. Your call.
What about taxes and platform fees?
You pay for your own tool subscriptions (HubSpot, Webflow, etc.). Everything Stepwise builds is included.
How do payments work?
Monthly, billed on the same date each month. Stripe or wire transfer for international partners. Net-15 available for established agency partners after month three.
